Inez Nickmans is a Belgian-American artist.

Born and raised in the Flemish region of Belgium, Inez started drawing and painting at an early age. After graduating from high school with art supplies and portable easel in tow she ventured to southern Spain for two years. She quickly learned the language, took art history courses at the University of Málaga and painted. From there she moved to the United States to upstate New York to pursue her passion for the arts. She enrolled at the State University of New York at New Paltz and four years later she graduated with a BFA cum laude. Oil painting was her medium of choice and subject matter was traditional until she began exploring and combining figurative and abstract styles. A few years later Inez moved to Saint Augustine, Florida where she continued painting. After a chance encounter with a Miami artist, furniture maker and now dear friend, Richard Warholic, she began passionately building and selling artful furniture pieces. Then about 7 years ago Inez started making ceramics after taking an inspiring workshop with Debra Fritts, a ceramic artist.

Today Inez continues to draw, paint and occasionally build furniture with a focus on creating one of a kind ceramics.
